This post is a little outdated, but sometimes being on a mission to be Chi-town’s finest just gets us a little distracted! So, last weekend, we discovered that one of the cooler things about Chicago is that it has no shortage of small-town, keep your own score on paper, no strobe lights-type of bowling alleys.
We ended up at one such alley with some buddies, after an amazing seafood dinner nearby. Imagine the following… A) The 65-year old lady behind the bar offers you $1 jello shots that she made herself because she is the self-pronounced “jello shot queen”; B) 4 jello shots and 4 beers costs you $12; C) Guys that look like this are sitting at the bar shooting you welcoming smiles; D) Sade’s entire Diamond Life album is playing on the jukebox. “No need to ask, he’s a smooth operator, smoooooth operator….”
It was so fun! Way to go, Chicago bowling alleys!
